Kilmurry   0 - 13    Kilmichael   0 -7

 Kilmurry overcame the challenge of neighbours Kilmichael at the Castle Grounds in beautiful weather conditions.  Kilmurry did appear to have a slight edge over their opponents for most of the hour and had a substantial interval lead of 0-8 to 0-2.  Kilmichael came back strongly in the third quarter but they never got closer than four point to their opponents. 
The teams were level at 0-2 each after eight minutes play.  Peter Kelleher had opened the scoring for Kilmichael, James Kelleher's cross was punched over the bar by Greg Barrett to equalise and James White then kicked Kilmurry into the lead.  Colm Dromey curled in a beautifully judged kick to bring Kilmichael level.  In the tenth minute James Kelleher put Kilmurry back in front and this time they were to maintain their position to the finish.  Three further points from William Buckley had Kilmurry in control and in the minutes before the break Dominic Creedon and James White kicked further scores to give Kilmurry a six-point interval advantage.
Kilmichael's James O'Leary scored a point in the 37th minute but William Buckley did likewise for the winners in an instant reply.  James O'Leary and Daniel Twomey then had a point apiece for Kilmichael but as the third quarter ended William Buckley's point steadied Kilmurry nerves.  Dominic Creedon and Peter Kelleher then exchanged score after Kilmurry goalkeeper Pat O'Callaghan made an fine save from Conor Cotter.  Dave O'Halloran's point from a free for Kilmurry in the 54th minute had six points between the teams again as the final minutes approached, Ronan Prendeville had a smashing point for Kilmichael but Kilmurry had the final score, a point from a William Buckley free in the 59th minute.

  Iveleary   2 - 14     Dripsey   0 - 11
The second semi final at Carrigadrohid was a good quality, well contested affair with the young Iveleary team justifying their present high status in a strong challenge from an experienced Dripsey side. 
Cathal Vaughan's run created a goal chance for Sean O'Leary in the 2nd minute that the young winger took in style to give his side a perfect start and Iveleary were never led thereafter.  Daniel O'Riordan and David Hourihan added a point apiece and Dripsey did not have their opening point until the 8th minute from David O'Sullivan.  Ger McSweeney quickly replied but Aidan Buckley had a second Dripsey point.  As the first quarter drew to a close, Cathal Vaughan had another point for Iveleary to give his side a 1-4 to 0-2 lead at that stage. Dripsey staged a strong second quarter rally which brought four points in a row from Shane Burke, David O'Sullivan, John Carey and Mark O'Sullivan and left only a single point between the teams. Back came Iveleary with Cathal Vaughan emerging as a major attacking force and two points from his frees were followed by one from play and so at half time Iveleary led by 1-7 to 0-6.
Cathal Vaughan opened the second half with another point from a free to which Aidan Buckley replied for Dripsey.  In the 38th minute Iveleary struck for a second goal, this one from Brian Cronin, and it opened up a seven point gap between the teams.  Dripsey came back strongly and Aidan Buckley kicked over three points in a row from free and when David O'Sullivan added a point from play there was only a goal between the teams at the three quarter stage. Iveleary finished in great style.  Brian Cronin, Shane Galvin, Finbarr McSweeney, Ger McSweeney, Daniel O'Riordan and Ger McSweeney all kicked over points and helped give Iveleary an impressive winning margin, all the more impressive as Dripsey had played quite well.
