Blarney   1 - 8     Aghabullogue   1 - 4

Aghabullogue bowed out of the Junior Hurling Championship despite a tremendous effort against Blarney at a wet and windy Ballyanley. Aghabullogue were not given much of a chance against a highly rated Blarney but with the wind to their backs started strongly and outscored their opponents by 0-4 to 0-3 in the first half. 

Blarney opened the second half well and added a goal and four points to their tally before Kevin Finnegan responded for Aghabullogue when he powered a bullet of a shot to the back of the Blarney net from a free. With just three points between the sides it was all was to play for but despite their best efforts Aghabullogue just could not get the extra scores they needed. Donoughmore   2 - 16     Kilmichael   2 - 9

Donoughmore started well at Cloughduv and points from Colm O'Callaghan and Shane Healy had them in front but Kilmichael steadied and hit back with points from Conor Cotter and Kieran O'Leary to be level at 0-2 each after 19 minutes.  Donoughmore responded strongly and three points in a row had them in a commanding position but again Kilmichael hit back there was only a point between the teams at half time, Donoughmore leading by 0-6 to 0-5. Donoughmore opened the second half in dashing form and within eight minutes of the restart had put eight points between the teams.  Colm O'Callaghan, Shane Healy and Philip O'Callaghan hit over points and the latter followed with a goal to leave Donoughmore ahead by 1-10 to 0-5 by the 38th minute.  Miceál Masters struck a great goal for Kilmichael in the 40th minute to revive their hopes but Shane Healy got in for a second Donoughmore goal in the 50th minute.  Kilmichael battled on and were rewarded for their spirited efforts with a goal from Kieran O'Leary in the final minutes.

Ballinora   1 - 12     Ballincollig   0 - 8

The first of the quarter finals was played at Cloughduv and Ballinora got the better of their neighbours after a game which was closely contested for almost all of the hour before Ballinora surged ahead in the final minutes to claim a semi final spot against either Grenagh or Donoughmore.

Ciarán Conway was the scoring hero for Ballinora with 1-6 to his credit at the finish, the goal being the decisive score and coming in the 53rd minute when only a point had separated the teams.  Ballincollig led at half time by 0-5 to 0-4 but Ballinora with Conway very accurate from frees went in front in the third quarter by the narrowest of margins.  Then came the game's only goal from Conway and after Ballincollig hit back with a point, Ballinora finished in a blaze of glory with four points in a row in the closing minutes.
