‘A' Championship Final
Ballincollig  0 - 14     Aghabullogue   0 - 6
Reigning champions Ballincollig were strongly fancied to win their second title in a row, Aghabullogue were expected to put it up to the champions and this they did, but Ballincollig always looked likely to win out in the end as they had the overall power that the challengers lacked.
Ballincollig, with wind advantage, opened the scoring with a point from George Durant but Aghabullogue's main threat in attack, John Corkery, had the sides level almost immediately, both scores coming from frees. John Corkery then put Aghabullogue ahead for the only time in the game with another point, this time from play. George Durant pointed a free to level and Peter O'Neill put the winners in front and they had added four more points to their tally, from Sean Kiely, Mark Prendergast, Morgan O'Mahony and a Durant free, before Aghabullogue had the final score of the first half, a point from a John Corkery free.  It was 0-7 to 0-3 at half time in Ballincollig's favour.
The nine minutes after the break were scoreless and it was Ballincollig who then broke the deadlock with two points in as many minutes per Durant and corner back Chris Collins.  John Corkery gave Aghabullogue hope with a point from play but Mark Prendergast had another Ballincollig point and when Darren Murphy added another, Ballincollig had a seven point lead as the game had entered the final quarter.  John Corkery now pointed twice for Aghabullogue from frees to reduce the gap down to five points, 0-11 to 0-6.  Ballincollig again asserted themselves however and finished strongly with a point apiece from Ian Coughlan, Cian Dorgan and George Durant to emerge clear and deserving winners at the final whistle.

‘B' Championship Final
Canovee   5 - 13    Donoughmore   1 - 8
The final scoreline tells the tale of this ‘B' championship final played at Kilmichael.  Canovee were far too strong for a plucky Donoughmore side, which battled on to the finish, even when the outcome was beyond doubt.
Canovee now will make a bold bid for the county ‘B' title, an honour achieved by Iveleary last year.
Canovee started this game well, dominating midfield possession and constantly on the attack.  Darragh Ring had them in front in three minutes, Paul Twomey and Sean O'Connor added points and when Mark Verling's shot shook the Donoughmore net in the 10th minute the winners were positively oozing confidence.  Canovee had added a further three points before Donoughmore had their opening point from Shane Healy in the 16th minute to which John Chambers added another soon after.  Canovee finished the half strongly with a further three points, and a goal from Charles Kenneally in the 26th minute. Canovee were in a very strong position as they led by 2-9 to 0-2 and were going well in all sectors of the field.
Donoughmore started the second half in resolute form but Canovee still added a point to their lead through Liam Kelleher before Donoughmore struck back with three points in a row, the first from Ger Buckley and two from Shane Healy, the best Donoughmore forward, who along with Mark Foley in defence did most to try and inspire a Donoughmore come back.  Canovee were not to be caught however and hit back decisively and Paul Twomey's goal in the 47th minute removed any lingering doubt about the outcome.  Canovee had further goals from Sean O'Connor and James Moynihan and Donoughmore were rewarded for their never say die spirit with a late goal from Stephen O'Connor.

‘C' Championship Final

Iveleary   1 - 14     Cill na Martra   1 - 13
Iveleary U 21's took the Mid Cork ‘C' title after their narrow victory over Cill na Martra at Kilmichael.  Cill na Martra had come third in their group behind Ballincollig and Canovee and had given both these ultimate higher grade champions a stiff challenge and so were considered capable of providing Iveleary with a severe test and this is just what they did.  Iveleary held a five point lead at half time and had extended their lead to seven points, 1-13 to 0-9 by the 44th minute but from there to the finish Cill na Martra put on the pressure and when Shane Dineen slammed home a penalty shot in the 56th minute the sides were level at 1-13 each.  Cathal Vaughan rescued Iveleary with a point from a 45 metre-plus free in the 34th minute and Iveleary were a relieved side to hear the final whistle immediately after.
This ‘C' final was the best of the three U 21 finals played over the St Patrick's weekend.  Iveleary got a great start and had 1-2 on the board in the opening three minutes, county player Cathal Vaughan at full forward getting the goal.  Miceál Desmond opened the Cill na Martra scoring with a point in the 6th minute and Iveleary led by 1-4 to 0-1 at the end of a first quarter which they had dominated.  Cill na Martra re-arranged their line out and placed corner forward Liam Lynch in the heart of their defence and cut off the supply to the Iveleary inside line.  Six points in a row for Cill na Martra followed with Daniel Buckley, Shane Dineen, Danny O'Connell and Daire MacLaughlin all on target and the teams were level by the 23rd minute.  Iveleary now brought Cathal Vaughan to midfield to break the Cill na Martra grip recently established, and Iveleary now finished the half with a flourish.  Five unanswered points, four from Vaughan and one from Barry O'Leary gave Iveleary a 1-9 to 0-7 interval lead.
On the restart, Shane Dineen pointed twice for Cill na Martra but Iveleary hit back with three more points from Cathal Vaughan and one from David Hourihan to lead by 1-13 to 0-9 in the 42nd minute.  Miceál Desmond had a point for Cill na Martra followed by points from Danny O'Connell and two from Shane Dineen and then the fat was really in the fire when Desmond was fouled in the Iveleary goalmouth and Shane Dineen slotted home the penalty to level the scores in the 56th minute.  The play was very exciting and went from end to end but the only score was the golden point from Cathal Vaughan's boot four minutes into injury time.
