                                    Junior B Football semi finals:
Eire Ãg   1 - 17     Canovee   1 - 7
Eire Og juniors had an impressive victory over Canovee in the Mid Cork Junior âB' football semi final at Kilmichael.  Canovee stayed with the winners until half time but in the third quarter Eire Ãg drew away and looked assured winners from the three quarter stage on.  They finished in style sending over some really fine points to embellish their winning margin.
Eire Og led by 0-4 to 0-2 at the end of the first quarter, their scores coming from Philip O'Sullivan, Eamonn Cantillon Murphy, John Malone and Fintan Brennan.  James Moynihan and Michael Quinlan had the Canovee scores. Points from Moynihan and Paul O'Sullivan brought Canovee level but in the closing minutes Eire Og drew away again with points from Philip O'Sullivan and Fintan Brennan to lead 0-6 to 0-4 at the break.
Five unanswered points for Eire Og on the restart had them in a secure position and a goal from a Fintan Brennan â45' in the 42nd minute gave them an unassailable 1-11 to 0-4 advantage.  As always, Canovee fought back with a point from hard working Damian Ahern and a Michael Quinlan goal but Eire Og responded to this challenge with a series of excellent points.Â
