EIRE OG ARE THROUGH TO ROUND FOUR OF THE COUNTY INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP WHILE CLOYNE GO TO ROUND TWO WITH A METTING WITH AGHABULLOGUE AFTER EIRE OG HAD SEVEN POINTS TO SPARE ON SATURDAY NIGHT IN RIVERSTOWN.

Eire og corner forward Kevin hallissey put Eire og ahead  on the first minute.Eire og had a nervous first 10 minutes.cloyne then had a few wide's to draw level but on the tenth minute they did from full forward Connor lomansey.Eire og never looked  back after that points from john dineen (free) Daniel goulding 3(2free s).to put  eire og 0-05 to 0-01 ahead after 22 mins.Then the crucial blow came before half time from a cloyne point of view after Daniel goulding ran at the cloyne defence after a lovely ball from derry herily and drove it home bottom corner of the net to make 1-05 to 0-01 after 32mins.then just on the stroke on half time Ciaran Sheehan drove up from center back to put a brilliant point over the bar to make it half time 1-06 to cloyne 0-01.

 

Eire og continued where they left  off points from john dineen 2(1 free) and Daniel goulding (free)  to make it eire og 1-09 to cloyne 0-01,to there credit cloyne never gave up corner forward james nyhan pulled one back.john dineen then replied with a free to make the scoreboard 1-10 to 0-2.the cloyne fightback was on diarmuid o Sullivan  pointed a free.Cloyne corner forward James nyhan got another score from a placed ball.then cloyne got a scrappy goal from wing forward paul o Sullivan on the 52min.Eire og keeper Connor hallissey made a very good save at the end to keep cloyne out.diarmuid o Sullivan then scored from a free to make it eire og 1-10 cloyne 1-05 with 5 minutes to go.

Eire og then scored two frees in the 60th  and 61st minute from Daniel goulding and john dineen to make it a full time score eire og 1-12 to cloyne 1-05.on this performance cloyne must take heart from  this display for never giving up. Goulding had a hand in most of his side's scores, and on the evidence of this performance, the Ovens side must now be one of the favourites for ultimate honours and look unbeatable after defenders did very well.
